Sunday, August 09 2009 - IMPORTANT NOTICE: Website Moving

I just wanted to let everybody know that there's goign to be a slight change of location coming soon, thanks to the free hosting site we've been using shutting down. I was notified with the following email:
Hello and thank you for using our free hosting services. We would like to notify everyone that we will no longer provide free hosting on domains Ehoomm.com & 000hosted.com as we are trying to move everyone to a single unified service so that we can easily integrate users and provide better support for everyone. We will be closing down services on the 25th Of August of 2009.

Please backup your files and If you would like, create a new home in our main site http://www.50gigs.net.

-- Regards, 50gigs.com
So (obviously), I'm migrating the website to a new location.

To keep these issues from affecting users' access in the future, I've made some extra effort and aquired an external domain name, which will just link to the new location from now on. The new website will be located at http://www.viaticus-rpg.co.cc.

Even though I'm using the same host people, I'm still on the prowl for a new free webhost. If anybody has any recommendations, I'd be more than happy to hear them. Please email me at Viaticus.RPG (at) gmail (dot) com, if you have any suggestions.

Friday, June 19 2009 - Website Updates, Game Updates, and more!

Recently, I've been uploading some new content to the website... mainly in the form of blank pages where content will soon be in place. I haven't had as much time as I wouldve liked to work on the website, due to some unforseen summer college, but fortunately I've had several people assisting me with some of the new content. Thanks Especially to Ryan, who re-wrote the entire creature list, and is currently working on a retooling of Viaticus Combat.

Today, I've uploaded the first of several pages under the Game Resources section of the site... the Maps page! The Viaticus World Map is now available for viewing and download, in High and Low quality, Labled or Un-Labled. More maps are on their way as well, so keep checking back!

Also, the Creatures, and Legends lists, as well as the Spell Charts are almost ready for uploading as well... artwork not included. I've decided I will put the general information on Creatures, the Legends, and the Spells as soon as I can, and I'll just upload the artwork for them as I have time to finish it. I don't want to rush into anything, but I'm sick of having a mostly-blank website for all this content. It's high-time I fleshed it out a bit.

Finally, I've added a bit of preliminary code to the website today that SHOULD (no promises) allow the menus to work correctly in Internet Explorer now. If anybody gets to test this, please send me an email and let me know if it works or not. Thanks!

More to come!

Tuesday, March 31 2009 - Another Reminder, (In case you were wondering)

As of today, Many of the links on this website still lead off the end of a cliff, despite the appearance that they are working. This is due to the fact that I am still doing a lot of work revamping the content I have, preparing it to go on the web, and rather than creating a place-holder page for it, I've left it off entirely.

Once summer hits, I'll be able to finish a lot more that I have to date...All I ask is for patience... or volunteers...those would work too!

Thursday, March 05 2009 - More New Content, and other stuff...

So, I found out the other day that the HTML code that my web-hosts automatically add to the bottom of each of my pages causes them to fail compliance tests when you click the link down at the bottom of the page... this is both irritating and un-fixable, due to the fact that I can't pay them to shut the stupid things off, and there's no other way to get rid of it. Oh well...

In other news, I thought it might be nice to start posting the regular issues of "The Juggernaut," Viaticus's official newsletter, on the website for the viewing/reading pleasure of others. From now on, I shall post the newest issue of The Juggernaut the day after the game it is written for. Older issues will now be available under the Newsletters Archive, under the 'Literature and Lore' section of the menu.

I've been getting slammed with a bunch of homework, and a new project, but as soon as I get a chance I'll convert all the older pre-Juggernaut news issues to pretty PDFs and post them in the archives as well. Happy Reading!
